AIM @ Chesham

Opened January 2026 for learners of Year 1 and above

We are based at:

Ivingswood Academy, Greenway, Chesham, HP5 2BY

Who We Support

Our provision welcomes pupils from Year 1 (age 5) onwards who require support with communication, cognition, social interaction, and neurodiversity. We understand that every child is different, and we are committed to meeting a wide range of needs through tailored educational planning.  We also now have a dedicated day to support primary aged children who present with EBSNA.

Our Approach

At AIM @ Chesham, we adopt a highly personalised teaching approach. Our communication curriculum is designed to build on emotional well-being, self-expression, social skills and engagement. We use Learn Trek to report weekly to parents and settings.

Our Team

Hayley Baverstock and Emma Choules are qualified, experienced educators and teachers, including specialist teachers. All team members regularly undertake specialist training—ranging from communication techniques and positive behaviour support to safeguarding and first aid—to ensure they remain at the forefront of best practice. Their expertise is complemented by their commitment to understanding each child as an individual and fostering positive, trusting relationships.

Community Engagement

AIM @ Chesham warmly welcomes parents, carers, professionals, and visitors who wish to learn more about our provision. We believe in open communication and active partnership with families, settings and local authorities, recognising that collaboration is key to each child’s success. Whether you are seeking support, interested in our approach, or would like to arrange a visit, our team is always happy to answer questions and share our work.

We invite you to connect with us and discover how AIM @ Chesham can make a meaningful difference in the lives of learners with higher needs.
